Hi.

I’m Christine Lejeune, a freelance writer and editor. The vast majority of my work has been in magazine journalism, where I’ve been lucky enough to work on all kinds of stories, but have leaned hardest into service journalism, reported essays, and culture and trend reporting. I’ve spent almost 20 years working for award-winning city-regional magazines, including Philadelphia magazine, where I am currently a contributing editor. I’m also an adjunct professor of magazine writing at Temple University, a frequent contributing writer at the Philadelphia Citizen, and an occasional editorial consultant for consumer mags, alumni magazines and various brands and businesses I just happen to like.

Beyond that? I’m a Tennessee native who went to school in the Midwest (earning a journalism degree from Indiana University and a master’s in social sciences from University of Chicago) before landing for good — I think — in Philly, where I live with my husband, our two (mostly) adorable children and a fish named Dolly Blue.
